Self-priming pumps are a type of centrifugal pump designed to prime themselves automatically, meaning they can evacuate air from the suction line and pump casing to establish a flow of liquid without the need for manual priming. This feature makes self-priming pumps particularly useful in applications where the liquid source is below the pump level or where the suction line may become partially or fully drained during operation.
Product Features & Applications
The self priming chemical pumps are mounted on a bearing frame as "bare pump only." The pump casing and impeller are constructed of cast iron. The shaft sleeves and mechanical seal are stainless steel. These pumps are for use in temperatures of up to 225°F and have a suction and discharge diameter of up to 10in. Additionally, these pumps are universal coupling. These pumps are suitable for applications such as plumbing or heating and cooling applications.
